McGregor turns down invitation to train at Mayweather's gym

Conor McGregor has been called up by many academies with the aim of training for his confrontation with his arch-rival Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight belt at UFC 229, October 6, in Las Vegas. The most unusual invitation took place on Tuesday (28), where Floyd Mayweather offered his training center to the Irishman to prepare for the duel with the Russian. 'Notorious' wasted no time and refused his former opponent's call.

After exchanging insults during the promotion of the boxing match in August 2017, Mayweather, when making the invitation, was full of praise for the Irishman. The boxer also guaranteed that McGregor should go after Nurmagomedov in the fight in October.

“I really don't have a guess, because I've never seen a fight with the guy he's facing Conor McGregor. From what I know, he's a hell of a guy on the ground, a good grappler.
