Renzo Gracie made his return to MMA at ONE Championship: Reign of Kings in July this year. At 51 years old, he submitted Yuki Kondo with a rear naked choke in the second round. The Brazilian returns to the cage of the Asian organization on March 31st, at ONE Japan. The information is from the “Tatame” website.

“At my last event, my dear and beloved brother Chatri (Sityodtong, ONE Chairman and CEO) announced that it was my retirement. However, how can I retire knowing that ONE is going to Japan?”, said Renzo at a press conference.
His opponent should be Kazushi Sakuraba, but there is still no official confirmation from the franchise. Another option for Renzo is the Brazilian, Wallid Ismail.
“I believe that if I can fight (Kazushi) Sakuraba, that would be unbelievable. If he can take on this challenge, I would love to, but if he can't, I understand. I admire him a lot and there is no lack of respect if he doesn’t fight”, said the Brazilian.
Both Sakuraba and Wallid would have a rematch with Renzo. His first fight against the Japanese was in the now-defunct PRIDE, the Brazilian was submitted with a kimura in 2000. Wallid defeated the Rio native in 1993, in a fight under Jiu-Jitsu rules.
