The final chapter of the story between the lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor was scheduled for October 06th in the main fight of UFC 229. The provocation between the arch-rivals is increasing with the arrival of the confrontation. This time, the Irishman called the Russian's father and coach, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov a 'coward' through his social networks on Friday (24).
"I can see you. Hiding behind false respect. Just like your middle child. A coward.”, said McGregor in his post.
McGregor's post is in retaliation for Abdulmanap's recent comments questioning the validity of the Irishman's lightweight title. He also states that 'Notorious' would have to work hard to surpass his son's wrestling.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has already stated that he plans to make McGregor pay for his disrespectful behavior during UFC 223 Media Day. In April, Conor and his friends attacked the bus carrying Nurmagomedov and several other UFC fighters. The Irishman threw a cart at the vehicle's window, injuring some athletes.
