Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes fight super champions at UFC 232

Cyborg agreed to defend the featherweight belt against Amanda in the main fight of the event scheduled for December, in Las Vegas

Brazil x Brazil, champion x champion! The negotiations were long, but, finally, Ultimate managed to schedule the superfight between the Brazilians Chris Cyborg, owner of the featherweight belt (up to 65,7 kg.) and Amanda nunes, queen in the rooster division (up to 62,1 kg.). The clash will be the attraction of UFC 232, an event that takes place on December 29th, in Las Vegas (USA). The news of the fight's marriage was released by ESPN in the United States. The broadcaster revealed that the information was confirmed by Dana White himself, president of the franchise.

The duel of champions will be valid for the featherweight belt, held by Cyborg. Amanda will try to repeat the feat of Conor McGregor e Daniel Cormier and win two Ultimate titles simultaneously. On the other hand, Cris is looking to secure his third defense of his reign in the Octagon.

Amanda nunes, 30 years old, has a professional record of 16 wins and four losses. The Bahian, who has won seven consecutive victories, won the bantamweight belt in 2016, at UFC 200, when she beat Miesha Tate. Afterwards, she even defeated Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko e Rachel Pennington.

Cyborg, 33 years old, has a record of 20 wins and just one loss. The native of Paraná, who hasn't lost since 2005, when she debuted in MMA, will make her third title defense in the octagon. Before the superfight against Amanda, Cris won the title against Tonya Evinger and defeated It's Kunitskaya, and Holly holm.
