Derrick Lewis faces Alexander Volkov in UFC 229 co-event

Ultimate had already announced the most anticipated fight of the year between the lightweight arch-rivals Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor for the lightweight title in the main event of UFC 229 on October 06th at T-Mobile Arena. On Tuesday (07) the co-event of the night in Las Vegas was announced, Derrick Lewis face Alexander Volkov.

After a dubious fight against Francis N'Gannou at UFC 226, Derrick Lewis will have a new chance to put on a show for Ultimate fans. In nine fights, the American won eight of them. His setback was against Mark Hunt. He is currently second in the heavyweight rankings.

Alexander Volkov The 29-year-old is on a streak of six wins, two of which were in M-1 Global and four in the UFC. His last fight was a knockout over the Brazilian former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum in March this year in UFC London.
