In November last year cody garbrandt faced TJ Dillashaw and lost the bantamweight title. This Saturday (04) during UFC 227 in Los Angeles, the rivals will once again enter the Octagon in a fight for the category belt. Ultimate gave 'No Love' the chance to have an immediate rematch to regain the belt. In an interview with the “MMAFighting” website, the Alphe Male athlete assured that the organization wants him to be the champion.

“They want me to be the champion, that's why they gave me the rematch. They called me and offered me the fight in March, TJ turned it down and made all these excuses and I had to wait all the way until August to fight him. I was ready to go before that,” Cody explained.

Dillashaw's idea was to hold a superfight against the flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson, but Ultimate didn't 'buy' the suggestion. Garbrandt guarantees that the proposal to face 'Mighty Mouse' was his. This all

“I ended up hitting on Sean Shelby and Dana White, saying I’m going to beat up TJ and then go down and fight Mighty Mouse. That was my original thought. TJ stole this from me, stole everything from me. If the UFC wanted the fight to prosper, they would have made this fight happen. They don't want that to happen. They have already moved on,” said the former champion.
