Without fighting since June 2010, the Brazilian Chris Cyborg returns to combat this Saturday night (17) ready to maintain her crown as queen of women's MMA. The Brazilian athlete defends the Strikeforce women's belt against the Japanese Hiroko yamanaka. The show's fight program, which will be held in San Diego, in the United States, also features another title fight. Lightweight Gilbert Melendez, who is a pupil of Brazilian César Gracie, will defend his division reign against Jorge masvidal.

“This is a very dangerous fight. Melendez has nothing to gain, and that's the problem. If it were up to me he wouldn't fight. I believe he will win, as he is the better fighter, but in any fight he can lose and in this one too”, said Brazilian César Gracie, who led the champion’s preparation. “Melendez has everything to lose and nothing to gain. He needs to fight with the top guys. Masvidal is sometimes incredibly good, but sometimes he loses to some fighters that nobody knows”, declared the Brazilian black belt based in the United States.
