Close to the chance to fight for the middleweight belt, Esquiva entered the octagon ready to achieve a quick victory. Esquiva will take to the ring on the same night that the current champion of the category, Japanese Ryota Murata, will defend his belt. If the two win, Arum guaranteed that the Brazilian will have the opportunity to fight against the Japanese.
