The Brazilian Paulo borrachinha is close to his dream fight for the UFC middleweight (up to 84,1 kg) belt. This Tuesday (24), the organization announced that the Minas Gerais native will face the Cuban Yoel romero, last challenger for the title of Robert whittaker, at UFC 230, an event that takes place on November 3, at Madison Square Garden, in New York (USA). In case of victory, the Brazilian must guarantee his chance at the division title.

Borrachinha, 27 years old, is ranked eighth in the middleweight rankings. He tried to enter the UFC at the beginning of his career through TUF Brasil 3, the franchise's reality show in 2014, but at the time he didn't make it past the first round. After some victories in national events, the Minas Gerais native debuted in the octagon in 2017 and recorded four consecutive victories, all by knockout. He has 12 wins and no losses as a professional.
In turn, the veteran Yoel romero tries to beat the Brazilian to achieve the trilogy against Robert whittaker. The 41-year-old Cuban has a record of 13 wins and three losses. In his last appearance, he fought a real battle against the champion at UFC 225, in June, and only lost in a split decision from the judges.
