“Congratulations to Corey, he accepted the fight with little notice, but I have to give it some time and see what’s happening. It's a fight I'm very, very disappointed in. I can't fight like this. I was feeling great. The last time I fought like this and someone dominated me, it was against Phil Davis. But for the Phil Davis, I have excuses. My weight cut was really bad. For this, I have no excuses. I can’t be fighting like this,” Glover explained.

Initially, Glover would face Ilir Latifi, but the Swede suffered an injury and was replaced by Anderson. The American accepted the challenge with just two weeks to prepare. This wasn't a problem in the match, which was dominated by Corey from start to finish.

Upset with his performance, the Brazilian was critical of what he presented in the octagon and asked for a new chance to analyze whether he still has what it takes to seek the UFC title.

“I have to take some time and see what’s going on. I need to get another chance in the UFC. I have to change some things to have another chance in the UFC, to have another chance in the fighting world. If I keep fighting like this... I can't fight like this anymore. This was a bad fight, a very bad fight”, concluded the Brazilian.

With the defeat to Anderson, Glover maintains an irregular record in Ultimate, with five fights, two wins and three setbacks. The Brazilian debuted in the UFC in April 2012 and went on a four-fight winning streak.
