The Brazilian junior gypsy has not stepped into the octagon since May 2017, when he faced a doping accusation by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Acquitted in the case, the former champion appears not to have lost the morale he gained inside the Octagon. Proof of this is that Cigano is the favorite for the main fight of UFC Boise, an event that takes place this Saturday (14), in the United States. According to the Oddsshak Cigano is the most likely to take the fight against Blagoy Ivanov.

Júnior Cigano x Blagoy Ivanov

Back in the octagon after serving a doping suspension, the Brazilian junior gypsy arrives as favorite for the main fight of the night, against the UFC newcomer Blagoy Ivanov, but the fight should not be easy.

PUBLICITY:

The Bulgarian is a former champion of the heavyweight division of the extinct WSOF (World Series of Fighting) franchise, and has an excellent record of 16 wins and one loss. He has won victories in his last five fights, the most recent against Brazilian Caio Alencar, when he defended his belt.

Cigano hasn't fought since May last year, when he was knocked out by Stipe Miocic, and since losing the belt to Cain Velazquez, at UFC 155, in 2012, has been alternating between good and bad results. In the last seven commitments, there were four wins and three defeats. His record, however, remains beyond respectable, with 18 wins and five losses.

His history as champion of the main MMA organization places the Brazilian as the most likely to win the fight, with a return of 54%. An Ivanov triumph will pay R$2,50 for each real bet.

Dennis Bermudez x Rick Glenn

The duel between the featherweights Dennis Bermudez and Rick Glenn is another one who presents a considerable difference to one side in the betting, but Bermudez's recent record does not inspire much confidence.

PUBLICITY:

After being considered for a title fight, the fighter ended a streak of three defeats, the last to his compatriot André Fili. The North American hasn't won since August 2016, when he got the better of the Brazilian Ron Jason by unanimous decision. His record is 16 wins and eight losses.

Rick Glenn has less time in the UFC, but like Blagoy Ivanov, is also a former WSOF champion. For Dana White's franchise, the North American has a 50% success rate, he won Philippe Nover e Gavin tucker, and lost to Evan dunham and Myles Jury, in his most recent commitment. He has 20 wins, five losses and one no contest in his career.

The quotas of oddsshark point out that a Bermudez triumph returns R$1,40 for each real wagered. If Rick Glenn defeats the favorite, the return will be 195%.

Myles Jury x Chad Mendes

Besides junior gypsy, UFC Boise will also mark the return of Chad Mendez, who has not fought since December 2015, and served a two-year suspension for using the hormone GH. His first challenge will be against Myles Jury, a fighter who is going through a good moment.

Jury had a meteoric start to his KOTC career, where he set a record of nine consecutive victories in his first fights. He was hired by the UFC in 2012, and has eight wins and two losses in the franchise. The American arrives motivated after getting the better of his last two engagements, against Mike De La Torre and Rick Glenn.

Chad Mendes He has already challenged for the featherweight belt three times, twice being defeated by the Brazilian José Aldo and in the other by the Irish Conor McGregor. Before being suspended, he was already not doing well, with three setbacks in his last four fights. However, he has emerged as a promising fighter, and has a record of 17 wins and four losses.

If he manages to return in style, with a victory over a fighter on the rise, Mendes will guarantee the bettor a profit of 47%. If the winner is Jury, the value will rise to R$2,70 for each real wagered.
