After winning the interim welterweight belt over Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 225, Colby covington once again challenged the linear champion of the category, Tyron woodley. In an interview with the website “BJPENN.COM”, the loud-mouthed North American stated that he will fight 'T-Wood' whenever he wants, and he decided that the fight will take place in November.

“The point is that now I hold the cards. So I won't rush to fight when he wants to fight me. We're going to fight when I want to fight, and I want to fight in November. This is a good time for me,” Covington said.

The clash between the rivals was discussed by Ultimate for September or October, but Covington assured that he will not 'run back' to the octagon. Colby is currently enjoying his vacation after UFC 225 in early June.

Covington explained that Woodley declined a fight with him a few times because he wanted a fight that would bring in more money. Tyron wanted a duel with Conor McGregor or also Nate diaz. “But then they offer it to me and [he says], “Oh, I need to have shoulder surgery.” Then he came and went. He's on TMZ gossiping about the Kardashians. He's in Hollywood with the liberal scum. He’s trying to play these roles in B-list movies that go straight to DVD,” Colby explained.

The confrontation between Covington and Woodley should take place in November at Madison Square Garden. The UFC is scheduled to return to the arena with UFC 230 on November 3rd.

“I’m pushing for Madison Square Garden. So tell Woodley, Madison Square Garden. I would tell him on social media, but he lives in his own little safe space. He's blocked me on all social media, Instagram and Twitter, so I can't go up to him and tell him Madison Square Garden. He's acting tough out there, saying, 'Oh, I'm going to do this to Colby. I'll do it. But that's all talk, man. Why are you blocking me?” concluded Covington.
