TUF 27 Finale: Ismael Adesanya teaches, dominates Brad Tavares and maintains unbeaten record

Known for his kickboxing skills, the Nigerian has improved in his takedown defense and remains undefeated in MMA; Trizano and Katona are the new TUF champions

Known for his skill in stand-up fighting, Israel adesanya He showed that he practiced his takedown game a lot and improved in the ground contest. In the main fight of TUF 27 Finale, the Nigerian dominated Brad Tavares, ranked eighth in the middleweight rankings, won the duel via unanimous decision by the judges (50-45, 50-45, 49-46) and maintained his 14-fight unbeaten record in MMA.

The fight

With a history of 79 fights in kickboxing, with 75 victories, Adesanya showed his skill against Tavares. With good movement, the Nigerian took the center of the cage. He abused jabs and various kick combinations, mixing blows to the waist line and legs. On the other hand, Tavares tried to wait for the best moment to take the dispute to the ground. But Ismael showed great progress in his takedown defense and kept the contest away from the ground.

From the second round onwards, Adesanya let himself loose in the fight. He landed good jabs, which undermined Tavares' face and wore down his rival.
