TUF 27 Finale: Ismael Adesanya teaches, dominates Brad Tavares and maintains unbeaten record

Known for his skill in stand-up fighting, Israel adesanya He showed that he practiced his takedown game a lot and improved in the ground contest. “This is my first main event and it’s only my third fight in the UFC, I’m just warming up,” Adesanya said in the post-fight interview.

The fight

With a history of 79 fights in kickboxing, with 75 victories, Adesanya showed his skill against Tavares. With good movement, the Nigerian took the center of the cage. He abused jabs and various kick combinations, mixing blows to the waist line and legs. On the other hand, Tavares tried to wait for the best moment to take the dispute to the ground. But Ismael showed great progress in his takedown defense and kept the contest away from the ground.

From the second round onwards, Adesanya let himself loose in the fight. He landed good jabs, which undermined Tavares' face and wore down his rival.

Tavares tried to recover in the third round. But Adesanya quickly regained control. The Nigerien varies his combinations and abuses plastic blows.

In the fourth round, Brad reached the clinch and got the takedown, but, surprisingly, Adesanya even attempted a triangle. Tavares reached the back, but was unable to finish. With the fight practically decided, Adesanya controlled the fight, prevented Tavares from falling and took the fight in the decision

Trizano and Katona are the new TUF champions

In addition to the dispute between Adesanya and Tavares, the 27th edition of The Ultimate Fighter met its new champions this Friday.
