With just one month to go until UFC 227 on August 4th in Los Angeles, the American Derek Brunson suffered an eye injury and is out of the fight against Antonio 'Shoe Face'. Ultimate is already working to find an opponent for the Brazilian. The other speculated alternative is to reschedule the meeting between the athletes.

The winner of The Ultimate Fighter Brasil 3 was preparing for the biggest fight of his career. The Brazilian has won five consecutive victories and four of them were by submission. Shoe Face occupies 13th place in the middleweight rankings and is looking to move up.
Brunson is coming off a loss to Brazilian Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza in the UFC Charlotte in January this year. The setback interrupted a streak of knockout victories over Daniel Kelly and Lyoto Machida.
