American with UFC experience signs contract with São Paulo club and fights in Ribeirão Preto

North-American Chris Wilson, 34 years old, wants to restart his journey in the world of MMA in Brazil. At 34 years old and with the energy of a boy, the fighter, who has a record of 16 wins and eight losses, was a UFC athlete, the biggest fight event in the world.

“There is no experience like the UFC. It was unforgettable and today I'm working to get back to the most famous octagon in the world. Unfortunately, I had perhaps the worst period of my career when I finally managed to get there”, said Wilson, who signed a sponsorship deal with Comercial Futebol Clube, from Ribeirão Preto and already has a fight scheduled in the city.

At the BRFC Desafio dos Imortais, which takes place on the 16th, in Ribeirão Preto, Chris will have his first MMA fight on Brazilian soil. He will face Tom Oliveira, from Santos, South American muay thai champion. Regarding the fight, Chris believes it will be a spectacular fight.

“We are Muay Thai fighters and that is already a good ingredient, because we are looking for a stand-up fight. But I also have good wrestling. Whoever is at the stadium will see a great show, because I will be fighting for the first time in Brazil and, luckily, in my city and in front of my fans”, said the North American, who recently moved to the interior of São Paulo.
