Eike Batista, the richest man in Brazil, announces sponsorship of the Nogueira brothers
The Brazilian fighters will be sponsored by the EBX group, owned by billionaire Eike Batista. Through a statement, the richest man in Brazil announced his support for Brazilian athletes.
“We expanded our support for national sport by sponsoring the brothers Rodrigo Minotauro e Rogério Minotouro, MMA fighters, in the twins' last competition this year, UFC 140. Minotauro and Minotouro will face each other on December 10th, in Canada, Frank mir, in the heavyweight category, and Tito Ortiz, at light heavyweight, respectively,” the statement said.
The values of the agreement were not revealed and the contract is only valid for UFC 140, however the contract can be renewed in 2011. A self-confessed MMA fan, Eike is a regular at similar events in Brazil and even in the United States.
