After being dominated by the Brazilian Anderson Silva at UFC Rio, and miss the chance to win the middleweight belt, the Japanese Yushin Okami He already has a date and opponent set for his return to the octagon. The Japanese athlete will be in action at home, at UFC 144, an event that takes place on February 25th, in Saitama, Japan. Yushin's opponent will be the American Tim Boetsch.
Okami, who has a record of 26 wins and six losses, returns to play in his country for the first time since 2006, when he defeated Izuru Takeuchi at GCM 6. In turn, Boetsch, who has 14 wins and four losses on his record, is undefeated in two fights since moving down from light heavyweight to middleweight. In his last appearance, Tim defeated Nick Ring via unanimous decision at UFC 135.
UFC 144, also called UFC Japan, already has three fights confirmed. In the main fight of the night, Frankie Edgar will put on the lightweight belt without a game against Ben henderson.
