Joanna Jedrzejczyk She was the strawweight champion for two years and had four title defenses before facing Rose namajunas in November 2017. The Polish fighter was knocked out at UFC 217. The rematch took place in April 2018, at UFC 223, where Jedrzejczyk lost again to Namajunas. After the losses, Joanna decided that she will move up to the flyweight division, but not before becoming strawweight champion again.
In an interview with 'The MMA Hour' on Monday (07), the Polish fighter stated that she will move up a division. “Yes, I thought about it. But first, my plan is to get my belt back. After I am champion again, I will move up a category,” she revealed.

Three months after her last fight with Namajunas, Joanna enters the octagon to face Tecia torres at UFC Calgary on July 28th. Jedrzejczyk would like to stay a few more months without fighting, but she accepted the fight. “Actually, I wasn't thinking about fighting so soon after that fight. But I'm crazy, this is my life. It's in my blood. A week later I spoke to Dana and told him that I would be ready to fight at the end of August or beginning of September. So, they came with the proposal to do this fight in Canada and I accepted in two minutes. This is what I do. Before I was champion, I was used to fighting every four months”, said the former strawweight champion.
Joanna started in MMA in 2012 and has a record of 16 fights, 14 wins and two losses to the North American, Rose namajunas.
