It didn't work for the Brazilian Gabriel Napao. The black belt who retired from MMA to face Alexander Emelianenko, the legend's brother Fedor Emelianenko, ended up being knocked out in the second round (see the video below). The fight was an attraction at the RCC event, held this Saturday (05), in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Napão started the fight better and managed to take down Emelianenko in the first few moments. A black belt in jiu-jitsu, Gabriel was on top in half guard, but was unable to advance in the position. The Brazilian remained on top until the end of the period, but without being able to finish the dispute.
Worn out from trying to finish Alexander, Napão returned tired for the second round. The Russian took advantage of the opportunity and connected some punches on the Brazilian.
Gabriel still managed to take the fight to the ground once again, but without being able to advance in position or strike from above, the referee put the duel back on its feet.
When the fight resumed, Emelianenko attacked the Brazilian. He landed several blows on Napão, who felt the pressure and backed away. The Russian didn't want to miss the opportunity and connected with a knee to Gabriel's head. The Brazilian athlete fell and the referee declared the knockout in favor of Fedor's brother.

In addition to Napão, the RCC 2 fight program featured the participation of three more Brazilians. Gerônimo Mondragon drew with Russian Ivan Shtyrkov; the former UFC Reginaldo Vieira lost the fight against Denis Lavrentyev by the judges' decision. Wallyson Maguila was no match for Mikhail Ragozin.
