“On April 23, when I got home I was already feeling very ill, vomiting and having chills, and a fever of 42°C. I took medicine and then went to the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) close to home to see what this could be, and the doctor said I had dengue fever, with platelets at 100. He asked me to hydrate a lot and asked me to come back on Wednesday to redo the tests. I went home and, when I came back, my platelets had dropped to 66, and I was feeling sick and had a lot of fever, vomiting. I did new tests and they told me to come back on Thursday, and then I came back and the platelets had dropped to 60 thousand.”, stated Priscila in an interview with the website Combate.

Upon activating Ultimate, Pedrita was immediately taken to the hospital in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

“Immediately they sent me a car, I said I was in a very bad condition and couldn’t walk. I got in the car without even knowing where I was going. Dr. Tanure saw everything, took me to the hospital in Barra, and when I arrived they already knew I was from the UFC and gave me all their attention. They started to stabilize my platelets that were falling. There, blood was beginning to evacuate, blood was coming out of everything. They told me I could have died. I had the feeling of coming face to face with death. They then started stabilization, my platelets had to stop going down. It was already at 40 thousand, and if it reaches 30 thousand the hemorrhage starts, and then only Heavenly Father. Meanwhile, I saw my mother crying, and that was giving me despair. She had never been admitted to the ICU.”
