Brazilian Michel 'Daredevil' Pereira defeated Laerte Costa in style last Saturday (28). He finished the contest with a backflip at the Serbian Battle Championship. Pereira defended the welterweight belt (up to 77kg).

To end the fight, Laerte surprised him with a backflip, while Laerte was lying down. As he fell, the champion hit his opponent's head (see the video below).
According to MMA rules, striking with the feet is prohibited when the opponent is on the ground. The referee did not stop the fight. With the unusual blow, Michel managed to apply a rear naked choke that ended the fight.
With the victory Michel keeps the belt and has a record of 26 fights, with 18 wins and 8 losses.
