The provocations of Chael Sonnen had an effect. On Wednesday night (09/11), UFC president Dana White announced on a radio program in the United States that the next defense of the middleweight belt of Anderson Silva it will be against his biggest enemy again.

Dana did not confirm the date of the confrontation. Anderson is recovering from an injury and the Super Bowl weekend, the American fighter's initial idea, is already occupied by the confrontation between Georges St Pierre e Nick Diaz, at UFC 143.
Silva and Sonnen are the protagonists of the biggest rivalry in MMA today and one of the biggest in the history of the UFC. They faced each other for the first time in August last year, at UFC 117. After provoking the champion, Sonnen dominated the fight for four rounds and a half, until he was captured by a triangle less than two minutes before the end of the fight.
Since then, the American spent a year away, going through legal problems and being suspended for doping. During this interval, Anderson knocked out Vitor belfort, at UFC 126, and Yushin Okami, at UFC Rio. Chael returned to the Octagon at UFC 136, when he submitted Brian Stann.
