BJ Penn considers coming back from retirement

The Hawaiian B.J. Penn announced his retirement from MMA after his loss to Nick Diaz at UFC 137, but 10 days after the announcement, the former Ultimate champion in the lightweight and welterweight divisions is considering the possibility of reviewing his decision.

“Many of my coaches told me to get away from the sport, take a vacation, but I was very much in that world and I kept putting pressure on myself. I don't like the results I had, so I'm going to stay away from the sport for a while. If I feel that desire again, I’ll come back,” said Penn, in an interview with the Inside MMA program.

However, even away from the fights, BJ did not fail to comment on the welterweight belt dispute between the Canadian Georges St Pierre e Nick Diaz, which takes place in February 2012. For the “Prodigy” as he is known, GSP has the advantage in the confrontation against Cesar Gracie's pupil.

“I'm the worst with predictions, but I think it's going to be very difficult for the Nick Diaz defend the falls of Georges St Pierre and, if Georges wants to use takedowns a lot in this fight, I think he has the advantage”, said BJ. “This is a difficult fight for the Nick Diaz, because GSP’s wrestling is very good, but Diaz’s boxing and jiu-jitsu are better.”
