Chris Weidman marked his name in UFC middleweight history by overturning the 10-year reign of Anderson Silva. However, the North American's phase is not the best, as he has only won one victory in his last four fights. Even with the bad phase, 'All American' exudes confidence and stands as the best fighter in the category.

In an interview with the program 'MMA Hour', Weidman ignored the bad phase and placed himself as the best in the 84 kg division. “When I stop and think, I realize that I am the best in the world and I have the ability to dominate everyone in my field. division. I really believe that. I feel like I have the mental and physical strength to be the best in my category,” said the former middleweight champion.
Weidman, 33 years old, despite the achievements achieved in his career, still considers himself young and with a long way to go in his career. “I have achieved a lot, but I am still young in my MMA career. There are still great things to happen. I'm not at the point where I'm going to start looking back and think, 'If I wasn't hurt, things would be different.' I feel blessed for where I've gotten to in the sport. I am blessed for everything I have achieved and the skills I have” he concluded.
Weidman has not fought since July 2017, when he submitted Kelvin Gastelum. After that, he had to undergo further surgery on his hand to cure a problem with his thumb. He has no idea when he will return to the UFC.
Chris won the middleweight belt by knocking out Anderson Silva in 2013. Throughout his career, the former Ultimate champion has 14 wins and three losses.
