While resting after the battle with his friend and interim Brave lightweight champion, lucas mineiro, Miau is already eyeing another duel for the belt soon.

“The expectation now is to fight for the belt again. I showed what I'm capable of, I know I didn't lose because my opponent was superior, but because of an injury, because of my mistake. All credit to my friend Lucas “Mineiro”. We put up a great fight and made waves. Now I'm going to dedicate myself to physiotherapy, but I'm not going to sit still. While my elbow is healing, I will train my legs, among other things. “I was excited about the fight. I gave my best, the victory didn't come, but I'm happy anyway. The repercussion was very cool, for sure, I'm very happy, I did my best and this is being recognized. I didn’t imagine it would have this repercussion,” he said.

The Brazilian lightweight suffered an injury to his left elbow while defending a takedown from lucas mineiro in the fifth round of the duel valid for the Bahraini organization's interim 70 kg belt. If the duel went to the end, Miau would be crowned the champion, since two of the three side judges had been scoring 39×37 for the CM System representative before the interruption.
