For the first time in Brazil, lightweight Ahmed Amir could make history at next Friday's Brave 11 and become the first fighter to win four fights for the biggest MMA promotion in the Middle East. To do this, “The Butcher” needs to beat Cleiton Predador. The Egyptian is full of morale in the world of fights, as he received a personal invitation from McGregor's head coach to join SBG Ireland. Amir declared that he was surprised by the superstar's humility and the level and quality of training at the gym.
“Training in Ireland was incredible. The level of training is wonderful and the trainers are awesome. I feel like I changed levels in just one camp. I hope to return soon, especially to train more with Conor. I thought he would be arrogant, but he is very humble, he trains and talks to everyone, he makes a point of repeating movements and drills, he is a different athlete”, described the Egyptian.
Brave 11 marks the organization's debut in Belo Horizonte and will feature two title fights – the interim lightweight title will be at stake in the main fight between Luan “Miau” Santiago and Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, while light heavyweight champion Klidson de Abreu defends his crown against Canadian Matt Baker. The show also features the debut of jiu-jitsu legend Bruno Malfacine in Brave (he faces local fighter Rafael “Mini-Man”), as well as Gesias Cavalcante x Erivan Pereira and former Bellator Rodrigo Cavalheiro facing Alessandro Gambulino.
