Interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson face Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223, on the 7th. If he passes through the Russian, it would be expected that the North American would aim to fight against Conor McGregor, current lineal champion of the category, in a superfight. “Conor who? I mean, the guy isn't in the picture. Serious. He made his money. He's been doing his thing. He has an education to give his son,” said Fergsuon, who then aimed his sights at St. Pierre.

“GSP, literally if he wants a super fight. He's an athlete. We all have to pay our bills and taxes. Here we go. […] This is what I signed up for in the beginning. I fought at 77 kg, I forced myself to go down to 70 kg. I mean, I changed categories, but not forever. I have 12 fights at 77 kg”, he added.
