Conor McGregor ventured into boxing and challenged super champion Floyd Mayweather in his specialty. Now, with rumors about 'Money' going to the UFC, the Irishman doesn't hide his desire to 'welcome' his rival in MMA.

John Kavanagh, McGregor's head coach, revealed that he would love to see the May-Mac rematch inside the octagon. And, with such confidence in his pupil, the coach suggested that the UFC champion do 'another real fight' next.
'Let's be realistic. If this fight were to happen, I would almost be encouraging Conor to say, 'Let's schedule this two or three weeks before a real fight,'” said .Kavanagh. “I think it's one of those that we could fit in the middle of preparing for a fight. If it were to happen, it's not the kind of fight that Conor would have to do 12 weeks of specific work... You could do this fight and fit it into the night of your real fight, he added.
Despite considering the possible rematch against Mayweather in the UFC as an easy fight, the coach would not like to see the Irishman trying to knock out his rival. According to him, McGregor would use his ground game – the Irishman's main weakness in MMA – to win the fight.
“We can go in there and I would insist that Conor take him down with a double leg right from the start, because I would be irritated if he tried to knock him out quickly with MMA striking. We need to see jiu-jitsu in this fight. He needs to be in the mount and slap him (Mayweather) a little. So it would be, I think, such a straightforward and easy fight that we could realistically train for it and then have a competitive MMA fight at the end of the camp,” he added.
