During UFC Fight Night Belém, Ultimate confirmed the date and location of its return to Brazil: UFC 224 will take place on May 12, in Rio de Janeiro. The news had already been released last week, but was only made official by the organization in the early hours of this Sunday (04). With the confirmation, the franchise also announced two duels already confirmed for the show that will be held at the Jeunesse Arena, Barra da Tijuca.

In the welterweight division (77 kg), Alberto Mina faces the Russian Ramazan Emeyev. In the lightweight category (70,3 kg), Davi ramos will face the German Nick Hein.
Cyborg x Amanda
Although not yet official, the expectation of the event is that the main fight of UFC 224 will be the duel of champions between Amanda nunes x Chris Cyborg. Current bantamweight champion, Amanda has been campaigning to move up to featherweight and seek another title and repeat the feat of Conor McGregor – have two Ultimate belts at the same time. Initially reluctant to face Nunes, Cyborg accepted the challenge and even said that she would “finish” her rival.
