Ultimate's president, Dana White, did not travel to Brazil to attend UFC Fight Night Belém. But that doesn't mean that the 'big boss' is resting. During the fight between Valentina Shevchenko e Priscila Pedrita, the director used his Instagram account to praise the Brazilian fighter's determination, but spared no criticism of referee Mario Yamazaki.

In the second most important fight of the show, the Kyrgyz Valentina Shevchenko dominated Priscila Pedrita with several punches on the ground and referee Mário Yamazaki did not interrupt the dispute, prolonging the duel without the Brazilian being able to react. The attitude angered Dana, who took to social media to praise the fighter's determination and criticize the dispute's mediator.
“Priscilla Cachoeira, you showed a lot of heart and courage in this fight. I'm honored to have her fight in the UFC. Unfortunately, the referee is there to protect her, and Mário did NOT do that. This isn't his first disgusting performance in the Octagon. Another unfortunate thing is that I can't do anything about it, only the Brazilian commission can, and I hope that, after this frightening and incompetent display, he never steps into the Octagon again. The difference in strikes was 230-3”, wrote the leader.
Within minutes, the publication received thousands of likes and comments agreeing with Dana White and complaining about Yamazaki.
