The Brazilian Anderson Silva broke the silence regarding his anti-doping test, which came back positive for the second time, and assured that he never used steroids in his career. The former middleweight champion also stated that he is optimistic about his acquittal by USADA, and revealed that he expects a verdict next month.

In an interview with the North American website TMZ Sports, Spider spoke about his expectations regarding the resolution of the case and said he was eager to fight again.
“I'm quite excited. Waiting for the verdict. I hope (he is acquitted). I have never used anything, any steroids, in my entire life. I say this because my body has never changed. The problem is that every now and then you use different supplements and this happens. I'm very confident, because of my size, I've never used steroids in my life. Fighting is my life and I want to return soon”, commented the Brazilian, who also recalled his first case of doping, in 2015.
“That time, I received a suspension because of my lawyers. I tried to explain everything, but they failed. Now I have a different strategy. My doctors and lawyers are in contact with USADA and we are cooperating. We’ll wait and see, but I’m really excited,” she explained.
Anderson Silva was caught in an anti-doping test conducted by USADA while preparing to face Kelvin Gastelum in the main fight of UFC China. The Brazilian was temporarily suspended by Ultimate so he could focus on defending his case and was replaced by Michael Bisping.
