The North American paige vanzant had a weekend to forget at UFC St. Louis last Sunday: in addition to losing her first flyweight fight, to Jessica Rose-Clark, the athlete also broke her arm and will be out of action for a few months. However, she had at least one reason to celebrate. Despite the setback, PVZ entered the category ranking, debuting in 12th place.

In the latest edition of the rankings, released this week by the UFC, VanZant makes his debut among flyweights, already in the top-15, despite a defeat. Another athlete who lost at UFC St. Louis, but found a place on the list was Brazilian Kalindra Faria. Although she suffered her second Ultimate defeat in two fights, against Jessica Eye, she was 15th in the ranking, losing some positions, but remaining on the list.
Another big change came at lightweight. Michael Johnson, former top 10 in the category, dropped out of the division's rankings after officially moving down to featherweight, where he lost in his comeback debut to Darren Elkins, also at UFC St. Louis. With the departure of the North American, Francisco Massaranduba gained two positions, going from 14th to 12th place. To the fifth, Beneil Dariush and James Vick also benefited.
