Focused on Cung Le, Wand rules out retirement

The Brazilian phase Wanderlei Silva It's not the best. The former Pride champion, who is coming off a streak of four defeats in his last six fights, had his retirement considered by Dana White after his defeat to Chris Leben, at UFC 132. But, totally focused on the fight against Cung le at UFC 139, the Brazilian didn't even consider the possibility of hanging up his gloves.

“I grew up inside the ring and the Octagon. I love fighting and I will continue doing this as long as I can”, said Wand at the press conference to promote the duel.

In addition to dispelling rumors, the Brazilian promised many shots at his opponent, considered good at playing with his legs: “In a short time I will get my game right again and I will win again. When that happens, I'm sure it will be a joy for all of us. I just have to thank my fans for their support. O Cung le He's a very good opponent. It has everything to be a very busy fight and I'm going to fill him with kicks too”, concluded Silva.

The fight between Wanderlei Silva e Cung le will be one of the attractions at UFC 139, an event that takes place on November 19, in San Jose, in the United States. The show's fight program will feature four Brazilians in action, and in the main fight the Tupiniquim black belt Mauricio Shogun face the veteran Dan Henderson.
