In a conversation with journalists online, Belfort revealed that he would accept giving up his retirement for a grant of at least US$10 million, around R$32 million at the current exchange rate.
“Too much money (not to retire), put millions into it! But anyway, I will always be training, helping people, I have many friends fighting, the people at Tristar, have the Cezar Mutant, I will always be prepared, this is my lifestyle. But it (the proposal) has to be very interesting, I am very pleased to have made this decision (to stop). I’m talking $10 million and up to start the conversation,” he stated.
In his career as an MMA fighter, Vitor had a record of 26 wins, 13 losses and one “No Contest” (fight without result). Among Belfort's main achievements are the UFC 12 heavyweight GP – beating two opponents on the same night – in 1997, at the age of 19. The UFC light heavyweight belt in 2004, when he defeated Randy Couture and the English Cage Rage light heavyweight title.
