Max Holloway He already has a date, place and opponent to defend his belt. The executioner of José Aldo puts the featherweight title on the line against Frankie Edgar at UFC 222, an event that takes place on March 3, in Las Vegas (USA). The fight was announced by the North American website MMA Junkie, this Monday (08) and confirmed by the organization, through social media, a few hours later.

Holloway and Edgar were initially supposed to face each other at UFC 218, in December, but the duel ended up being postponed due to an injury to the challenger. At the time, Frankie was replaced by José Aldo and the Hawaiian beat the Brazilian again in the third round.

Holloway has a professional record of 19 wins and three losses as a professional. The 'Blessed' has an impressive 12-fight winning streak in the UFC. In 2017, the Hawaiian defeated José Aldo twice and established himself as champion of the featherweight category

Former UFC lightweight champion, Edgar, 35 years old, is coming off victories over Jeremy Stephens, in November 2016, and Yair Rodriguez, in May of last year. He has already challenged for the featherweight belt on two occasions against José Aldo, but was overcome by unanimous decision in both. In Ultimate since 2007, he has 16 triumphs, five setbacks and one draw.
