Ultimate used social media to announce the return of Francisco Massaranduba to the octagon. Coming off an important victory over Jim Miller No. UFC Sao Paulo, the Brazilian lightweight will face James Vick in the ufc austin on February 18th. The two share the 14th position in the lightweight rankings and need a victory to advance on the list.

Before beating Miller in October last year, massaranduba had an impressive seven-game winning streak interrupted by Kevin Lee, which soon afterwards faced Tony Ferguson for the interim category title. “Revealed” on TUF Brasil 1, the Brazilian has 22 wins and five losses in his professional MMA record and trains at Evolucion Thai.
James Vick, a student of Lloyd Irvin, has won three consecutive victories, including a victory over the Irishman Joe Duffy, which has already won Conor McGregor before the two became UFC fighters. Also in 14th position, Vick will fight at home, as he was born and raised in the state of Texas, where the city of Austin is located, which will host the event on February 18th.
Besides massaranduba, two other Brazilians are confirmed for the event: Lívia Renata Souza, star of Invicta FC, will make her Ultimate debut against Jessica Aguilar, former WSOF strawweight champion, while Carlos Diogo Ferreira faces Jared gordon in light combat.
