The Brazilian Chris Cyborg appears to finally be reaching stardom in the United States. This Friday (29), the day before her first title defense at UFC 219, she was applauded by fans present at the event's ceremonial weigh-in. The featherweight champion faced her opponent, the former owner of the bantamweight title Holly holm and guaranteed that he will do everything to win another victory.

“I trained very hard, like in all my fights, and I want to get here tomorrow and show who Cyborg is. I want to do my best and, God willing, bring this victory more”, declared Cyborg, who even received shouts of declarations of love after his speech.

Appearing calm, the American Holm spoke about the result of her penultimate fight, when she faced Germaine DeRandamie for the belt that now belongs to Cyborg, and ended up controversially defeated. Holly said she intends to make the judges sure she beat Cyborg.

Before facing the main fight, the Brazilian Edson Barboza came face to face with his opponent, the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, who brought a special gift to commentator Joe Rogan, a special hat from Dagestan, the region where he was born. Another Brazilian on the card, the flyweight Matheus Nicolau had a calm face with Louis Smolka, his opponent this Saturday (30).
