The confidence of Holly holm for your duel against Chris Cyborg, at UFC 219 next Saturday (30), appears to be high. So much so that the American is already talking about her next move if she dethrones the current UFC featherweight champion. Holm admits that she would like to give the Brazilian the rematch immediately, as she believes that Cyborg would be hungry for quick revenge after a possible defeat.

The former owner of the bantamweight belt said that the Brazilian, contrary to what happened with Ronda Rousey, you don’t want to sit still for a whole year. In 2015, Holm knocked out “Rowdy”, offered him a rematch but the former champion preferred to wait longer and a second fight never happened.
“I was also willing to give Ronda the rematch. The issue is that no one knew, not even the UFC, when she would return or if she would return. So I said, “Well, I don’t want to sit around waiting. I hope if they give me a date, six months from now or something.” But I didn't want to wait. I want to be able to fight and train, do what I love (…) So, I think the situations are different. If I beat Cyborg, no one can deny that she deserves a rematch. That's the name of the game and I would be open to that. I feel that Cris is also very competitive and trains very hard, I don’t think she would want to wait a year to return”, commented Holm, in a conference call with North American journalists.
At UFC 219, Cyborg defends his featherweight belt for the first time against Holm. She won the title at UFC 214 by beating Tonya Evinger, after the former champion withdrew Germaine DeRandamie. Interestingly, the Dutch woman overcame Holm herself to win the belt.
