Iuri Marajó seeks to shake off bad form against Joe Soto at UFC Belém

The bantamweight Iuri Marajó is another local fighter confirmed for UFC Belém, on February 3rd, an event that marks the debut of Ultimate in the North of Brazil. Marajó, which has its nickname borrowed from the island that is part of Pará, was completed by brian kelleher at UFC 212, held in June in Rio de Janeiro and then ended up losing by decision in a duel against Alejandro Pérez, who was part of UFC Fresno earlier this month. Before, he had finished Luke sanders with a kneebar in March. At 37 years old, the bantamweight has a vast professional record, with 34 wins, nine losses and one No Contest (fight without result).

UFC Belém will have, as its main fight, the return of Lyoto Machida to Belém, the city where he was raised. The former light heavyweight champion faces Erik Anders in a duel valid for middleweight.
