The victory of Rafael Dos Anjos about Robbie Lawler at UFC Winnipeg this Saturday (16) seems to have caught the attention of Colby covington. The controversial welterweight, known for his repeated provocations and insults towards the Brazilian people and Brazilian fighters, made a point of sending a message to the former UFC lightweight champion.

Through his official Twitter, Covington said that Dos Anjos had not impressed him, as he was unable to knock out or submit an “old, broken man”, referring to the veteran Robbie Lawler, former champion at 77 kg.
“Sad performances for the cast of kids who fought on Fox today. Rafael Dos Anjos he couldn't even knock out or submit an old, broken man! Tyron (Woodley) is out there faking injuries…I'm here to make this division great again. Rafael Dos Anjos, show up and defend that trash you call your home country and face me for the interim title, you filthy animal”, “Chaos” fired.
Currently number three in the welterweight rankings, Covington, who is coming off a dominant victory over Demian Maia, should be overtaken by Dos Anjos, who was in fourth place. That's because the Brazilian beat Lawler, who is second on the list. The leader of the ranking is Stephen Thompson, since the champion Tyron woodley is not included and is “above” the first place.
