Bellator middleweight champion, Raphael Carvalho, retained his belt in overwhelming fashion against Alessio Sakara, knocking out the Italian in just 44 seconds in the main fight of Bellator 190, held last Saturday, in Florence, Italy. Fighting away from home, the Brazilian didn't feel the pressure from the crowd, he connected quickly with a straight shot that left Sakara dizzy and knocked him out with an elbow.

The victory against the former UFC fighter marked his third title defense in a row. Raphael Carvalho, who became Bellator champion in October 2015, by knocking out Brandon Halsey. Since then, the Brazilian has beaten Melvin Manhoef twice and now knocked out Sakara. Your next challenger should be Gegard Mousasi, who recently left the UFC for Bellator.
