It was emotional, but Davi ramos scored his first UFC victory. The jiu-jitsu black belt submitted American Chris Gruetzemacher with a rear naked choke in the third round and reached his seventh victory as a professional. Despite his specialty in ground fighting, Davi accepted the open exchange of blows in the first round. The fighters exchanged strong blows from both sides at close range with a small advantage for the North American. However, when Gruetzemacher tried to shoot the Brazilian, Ramos grabbed his rival's leg and took the fight to the ground. In half guard, Davi connected with good punches from above and tried to open up space to seek the submission. Despite not being able to end the dispute, Ramos finished the partial on top.

In the second round, Davi soon took the fight to the ground, but without working on top, the referee put the fight back on its feet. Gruetzemacher took advantage of the moment and picked up the pace, while Davi was already showing some fatigue. The North American connected and landed good punches, while Davi just walked back and tried to take him down anyway.

After the scare in the previous round, Davi immediately tried to take down his rival in the first seconds of the third round. Wasting no time, he attacked Gruetzemacher's legs, spun around, took his back and went for the choke. With the rear naked choke in place, the North American was forced to tap and give up the fight.

Unrecognizable! This is how the Brazilian's performance can be summarized Iuri Marajó at UFC Fresno. Known for dynamic fights, Pará had an apathetic and lackluster performance. As a result, he ended up defeated by Alejandro Perez in the unanimous decision of the judges (30-27, 29-28, 29-28). The result marked Marajó's second consecutive defeat in Ultimate – he had been defeated by brian kelleher, in June, in Brazil – as a result, the bantamweight finds himself in a complicated situation within the franchise and is at risk of being fired.

Perez and Marajó fought a first round with a lot of study and without great emotions. The Mexican tried to fight more, but without much effectiveness. On the other hand, the best moment of the partial came from the Brazilian, when Marajó connected with a flying knee that scared his rival.
In the second round, the timid exchange of blows continued and the public booed the athletes at the beginning of the round. With no emotion in the stand-up fight, Marajó tried to close the distance, but the Mexican almost managed the takedown. The fight was stopped again, without any great moments, until the end.

The third round followed like the previous stages: a lot of study, some movement and few connected blows. Halfway through the partial, Alejandro Perez He even had a rare good moment when he knocked the Brazilian off balance by hitting him in the face. The Mexican tried to grow in the dispute when he attempted a takedown and made the man from Pará bend his knee with a right cross. But he had no continuity in the attack and just continued the dispute until the bell sounded and led to the judges' decision.

Braga Neto feels the rhythm and is defeated in the opening of the event

First Brazilian to enter the Octagon, Antônio Braga Neto There was no return to the competitions he expected. The man from Manaus, who hadn't fought since June 2014, felt a lack of rhythm in the second half of the fight and ended up being overcome by the North American. Trevin giles by technical knockout in the third round. Despite the setback, Braga Neto The dispute started better. He avoided Gilles' blows well and took the fight to the ground at the first opportunity. On top, the Brazilian was not forceful. But he unleashed a few short blows and dominated his rival on the ground.

From the second round onwards, the dispute began to change. Gilles found distance in the stand-up fight and connected good punches against Braga Neto. The Brazilian, already slower, telegraphed all the attacks and the North American dodged with ease.

With one round for each side, the third round would be essential to determine the winner. The Brazilian tried to repeat the strategy from the first half and soon took down his rival. However, Giles quickly got up. From then on, the Brazilian, already showing a lot of fatigue, was unable to attack his rival. In turn, the North American took advantage of the moment and set out to define the dispute. He combined a series of punches that took the Manauara to the ground and the referee declared a technical knockout.

The result marked the second setback in a series of Braga Neto – he had lost to Clint Hester in June 2014 – while Trevin giles remains undefeated as a professional with 11 wins in 11 fights.
