The two victories of Max Holloway about José Aldo placed him above the Brazilian on the list of best featherweights in history. This is the opinion of Joe Rogan, main commentator for UFC events and jiu-jitsu black belt. The American said that “Blessed” had a “masterful” performance against Aldo at UFC 218 last Saturday (2). Rogan was next to the octagon commentating on the duel.

Through his podcast dedicated to MMA, the commentator revealed that Holloway even spoke to him between the first and second rounds, saying that Aldo was tired.
"Max Holloway He was a master, he performed like a master against José Aldo. The way he handled Aldo…After the first round, he yelled at me “the man is tired! He is tired!". He's a son of a bitch...Max Holloway It's a p.. of a warrior, right down to the soul. He looks for this kind of thing, he loves it. You could see that Aldo was drowning, that the waves were coming and he wouldn't be able to stay afloat for long (…) I think Holloway is the best featherweight of all time. He may not agree with this, because of his title defenses, and I understand, but the way he fights, his octagon IQ, his ability to find a weakness and his predatory way inside the octagon...I think he is the best in history”, commented Rogan.
Holloway made his first title defense against Aldo, from whom he took the title at UFC 212. The Brazilian, however, continues to hold the record for defenses – he remained champion with six defenses, against Mark hominick, Kenny Florian, Chad Mendes (twice), Chang Sung Jung and Ricardo Lamas.
