The heavy weight Francis Ngannou guaranteed his passport to a title fight by knocking out alistair overeem at UFC 218 last Saturday (2). And the Cameroonian is already warming up his duel against the champion Stipe Miocic on the social networks. After the Croatian-American posted a photo of himself with the Ultimate belt and the caption “and still champion”, Ngannou teased his next opponent.

Through his profiles on the main social networks, the heavyweight sent a message directly to Miocic, telling the champion to “enjoy the last moments with the category belt”.

“Enjoy the belt while you can and say goodbye before the next fight,” threatened Ngannou, who was recently praised by Dana White, and was called a “rock star” and “future global star” by the UFC president.

There is still no official date for the heavyweight clash. Miocic hasn't fought since September 2016, when he made his first defense of the belt he won against Fabricio Werdum, in Curitiba, at UFC 198. On that occasion, the Croatian-American knocked out the Dutchman in the first round, as well as Ngannou. Miocic had been having problems renewing his contract with Ultimate, but the expectation is that he will face the Cameroonian phenomenon in the first quarter of 2018.

During this period, Ngannou became one of the most talked about fighters in the division after going on a streak of six wins in six fights for the UFC. The Cameroonian beat, in addition to Overeem, names like Andrei Arlovski and Brazilian Luis Henrique KLB.
