Injury takes Fábio Maldonado out of UFC on Versus 6

Brazilian fighter injured his back during training

Brazilian Fábio Maldonado is out of UFC on Versus 6, an event that takes place on October 1st, in Washington, United States. The Brazilian athlete was scheduled to face the American Aaron Rosa, but a back injury took the fighter out of the fight program. The information was confirmed by the organization's Twitter on Wednesday night.

“The rumors were confirmed… Maldonado is out of UFC on Versus 6,” said the microblog.

Before the official announcement, Maldonado himself had already commented, last Saturday (10), on his Facebook page, that he was feeling a lot of pain and would try treatment with needles for recovery. “A lot of back pain, a lot. On Monday I’ll do acupuncture to see if it improves.”
