Charles do Bronx feels the rhythm and falls in front of Felder

the paulista Charles of the Bronx had one mission at UFC 218: avoid the dangerous Paul Feder's stand-up fight and try to end the fight on the ground. With the recipe in hand, the Brazilian got off to a good start. He closed the distance, took down the American and showed all his skill on the ground. Do Bronx quickly got to the back and came close to submitting with a rear naked choke and then with a hand triangle. But Felder showed a lot of courage and escaped all strangulation attempts. At the end of the first round, Charles left a small space and Paul managed to stay on top on the ground. The North American took advantage of the opportunity and threw a few short elbows, which opened a cut on the São Paulo athlete's face.

In the second round, Charles tried to repeat the strategy from the previous round. In the first few moves he looked for a takedown, but Felder defended well and ended up falling on top. Right from below, the Brazilian tried to use a leg lock, but Felder once again escaped. After getting out of the attack, the American went all out and landed an incredible sequence of elbows on the ground. The Brazilian ended up giving up, but the referee didn't see it and only interrupted the dispute a few seconds later.

In the second round, Cowboy took the initiative again, but Medeiros was not intimidated and responded to all of the Brazilian's attacks. The Brazilian lost strength in his strikes and Medeiros took advantage to land good punches. In the final moments, the Hawaiian still managed a beautiful takedown, when Alex closed the distance and with the dodge he was already in a fall.

With the dispute tied, the third round would be responsible for defining the winner. Cowboy started better and soon landed three good blows on the Hawaiian before taking him down twice. The Brazilian reached his rival's back, but was unable to stabilize his position. Medeiros took advantage of the space to reverse, staying on top on the ground.
