The 'strange' duel between Gabi Garcia and Shinobu Kandori, 53 years old, will really happen. Initially scheduled for December 2016, but canceled due to an injury to the Japanese woman, the fight was rescheduled for Rizin FF 8, on December 29th, at the legendary Saitama Super Arena, in Tokyo, Japan. The fight will be at weight married up to 95kg.

Four-time jiu-jitsu world champion, Gabi, 32 years old, will have her sixth fight as an MMA professional, all with the Japanese organization. In her debut in December 2015, she knocked out Lei'd Tapa. Next, she submitted Anna Malyukova and Destanie Yarbrough, but saw her last fight end in a 'no contest' after landing an illegal kick on Oksana Gagloeva. It's worth remembering that Garcia has had difficulty finding opponents her size, as the Brazilian weighed 111kg in her last fight.
