Bellator announced on the North American program SportsCenter what the quarterfinal fights of its heavyweight tournament will be. Scheduled to start on January 20th, the GP will have the first fights: Rampage Jackson x Chael Sonnen, Frank mir x Fedor Emelianenko, Ryan bader x King mo and Matt Mitrione x Roy Nelson. In addition, the promotion also released the total championship bracket, which will crown the organization's heavyweight champion.

Interestingly, the division of the quarterfinal fights kept the four “natural” heavyweights (Mir, Fedor, Mitrione and Nelson) separate from the four light heavyweights. who will go up especially for the tournament (Rampage, Sonnen, Bader and King mo).
The first fight has already been confirmed for January 20th – former UFC fighters Rampage jackson and Chael Sonnen make the first quarterfinal of the tournament at Bellator 192, which will feature the Brazilian's defense of the welterweight belt as its main event Douglas lima, who will face fellow former UFC fighter Rory McDonald.
