Pezão seeks a place in the final of the Strikeforce GP this Saturday

This Saturday night (10) the Strikeforce Heavyweight GP defines the finalists for the event that will be held in Cincinnati, in the United States. After much controversy due to the anticipation of the semifinals, which ended up determining Alistair Overreem's exit from the tournament, the Brazilian Antonio Pezão face Daniel Cormier. The Brazilian athlete, who prepared with the Minotauro Team, shows confidence to guarantee his place in the grand final.

“I'm very calm about this fight and with each passing day I gain more experience. Minotauro's victory made me really want to win too. The training was very intense, I prepared for three months and I'm going all out against Daniel”, Pezão, who hopes to win and face the winner of Josh Barnett and Sergei Kharitonov in the grand final.

Jacaré defends middleweight belt
In addition to the semi-finals of the heavyweight GP, the Strikeforce fight program features another fight that promises to excite the public. Valuing the middleweight title, the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare will defend his belt against the North American Luke Rockhold. The Tupiniquim black belt, who has a record of 14 wins and two losses, debuted in Strikeforce in 2009 and has accumulated four victories in the organization, the last being over Robbie Lawler, in January of this year, valid for his first belt defense. Rockhold has a record of seven wins and one loss. In his last appearance, the American knocked out compatriot Paul Bradley, in February this year.

Brazilians in action at the show
Besides Antonio Pezão in the semi-final of the heavyweight GP and Ronaldo Jacare defending the middleweight belt, the Strikeforce card will feature four more Brazilians in action: On the main card, Roger gracie returns to MMA competitions against King mo Lawal. In the preliminary card, Rafael Feijão faces Yoel romero, Cyborg Evangelist will measure forces against Jordan Mein, Marcos Foot will face Mike Kyle and Amanda nunes will do the women's fight on the show against Alexis Davis
