After Tyron woodley declare that you have already signed your contract to face Nate diaz at UFC 219, the lightweight continues without showing up to make the fight official. And, according to his boxing coach Richard Perez, only a million-dollar offer will make Diaz return to fight in the octagon against someone not named Conor McGregor.

In an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast, the coach admitted that the North American's team is waiting for the trilogy with the Irishman and said that his pupil deserves a salary of US$15 million (R$48 million), if the UFC wanted even pitting him against Woodley in the last event of this year.

“The UFC doesn’t want to pay Nate. Woodley is trying to make a name for himself, he wants to fight the best, so he wants Nate. But the UFC doesn't want to pay Nate, so why fight Woodley? We can fight McGregor then. He says he already signed the contract and Nate didn't, but there's a reason for that. Nate is on top and needs to be paid. He's a people's guy and the people want to see him fight. He is popular like McGregor now. So the UFC will make a lot of money and Nate won't get paid? (…) He deserves $15 million, easy. He's a star now. McGregor is suspended, he can't fight now”, said Perez, who sees his pupil beating Woodley, if the fight gets off the ground.

“I know Nate would beat him. Woodley fought guys who didn't expect him to trade with them. Lawler was caught off guard. Nathan won't be surprised. Injury free, Nate gets there and is boxing superior to Woodley. Woodley is fast, sure, but he doesn't have the wingspan and Nate is fast too. Believe me, when Nate throws combinations, he always catches them, Woodley has no chance.”
